ABSoc Membership

With the 2011/2012 academic year starting, its time again to renew your ABSoc membership. Membership is £5 and is open to everybody, students and non-students. Membership empowers the ABSoc to provide high-quality events, world-class speakers and discounts to a range of events from celebrations to hikes. Persian Classes

Persian Language classes are back again this semester after great success during the past two years. No matter what your level of knowledge of Persian and Iran, this class is an opportunity t o improve your skills in the Persian language and appreciate the intricacies of Persian culture, learning from our experienced Iranian teacher.

Classes will be held every Monday in the Baines Wing, room G.42, at 6pm. The fee for each session is £3.50, though if you’re interested in attending the full course this semester, pay in advance for a discounted fee of just £25.00. For more details, Email us: luuabsoc@googlemail.com

Tuesday Night Project is Back!

What is Tuesday Night Project (TNP)?

The Tuesday Night Project aims to provide an open and intellectual platform for discussion and understanding of the fundamentals of Islam. It hopes to cater for the needs of not only the Muslim community but also for those wishing to understand the true ideals of Islam beyond social and media-driven stereotypes. From the unity of God (Tawhid) to His existence, come along and explore the core values of what arguably makes Islam a truly holistic and all-encompassing philosophy and way of life.
